11 03 09 | Pinkberry, Life Is Delicious
I was introduced to the phenomenon of Pinkberry while working in Midtown. My colleagues and I would walk to 32nd street to get a fix of this frozen yogurt. And I really mean frozen yogurt- yogurt that is frozen, not an unsatisfying substitute for ice cream. My usual Pinkberry order is original or green tea yogurt with berries and mochi. My friend Dave and I stopped in at Pinkberry before our friend’s performance on Theatre Row. I decided to try the Pinkberry Parfait because it looked so pretty. If you are wondering if the work phenomenon is an overstatement for a frozen yogurt product, you can read about it in the LA Times. Pinkberry has become a neighborhood staple in many Manhattan neighborhoods. You’ll probably see me in line one of these days.

11 01 09 | Pinkberry at the Avenues
I finally got the chance to try out the famous Pinkberry frozen yogurt. Although I've heard about it a while back since it grew a celebrity following for its fat free frozen yogurt ( let's be honest anything that's 0% fat will always be popular among celebs) and then of course it reached cult status after its debut on "The hills". I wasn't really too keen on trying it. for a couple of reasons. One, i was never a frozen yogurt fan. Don't get me wrong i looove yogurt. I'de eat it plain, with honey, strawberries or some dates on the side. But yogurt will never take the place of deliciously sweet ice cream goodness! unless your on a diet then that's a different story. Secondly, even if i liked frozen yogurt, why Pinkberry? what's so special about it? I'll tell you...
Plain and simple its the new "habba" seriously, its the new craze. And for that reason alone i was so reluctant to try it! As a certain someone once so articulately put it, i hate being "kharoofy". (Kharoofy; from the arabic word kharoof, meaning: sheep-like). I just hate feeling like a sheep following the herd.
Anyway, so i was out with a couple of friends, and they were craving the pomegranate frozen yogurt (with granola on top) from Pinkberry. I had no choice but to go along and decided to try out the plain yogurt with mangoes and banana on top. I have to say, I really liked it!
It was extremely refreshing. a mixture of sweet and sour flavors tickling my taste buds. anyone who knows me knows i love me some sweet and sour anything! lol so if you're ever in Avenues and would love something cold and sweet sans the guilt trip, Get off your "Im not a kharoufy!" high horse and give it a try ;)

10 28 09 | Pinkberry News!
If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with Pinkberry. Every time I pass the store, a little part of me jumps inside and my inner woman cravings scream for some Pinkberry loving! Made from nonfat milk and yogurt this delectable dessert is to die for. With flavors such as green tea, original, and pomegranate and then topped with fruits like mango, strawberry, and kiwi, no one in their right mind could resist. Started by Korean American, Sherry Hwang, the Pinkberry concept started when she was “denied permits to open a wine and cheese shop or small tear-rooms in her first LA space.” Now the franchise is so successful, its store are popping up all over Amereica and celebrities are snapped eating this yummylicious treat all the time!
So here are some Pinkberry goodie updates for you crazy yogurt lovers!
