Pinkberry Design Tip #2 - Accent Light! |
|

We’re sticking to yesterday’s luminosity (beautiful word, isn’t it!) theme and offering up another tip on lighting.
Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.
Pinkberry Design Tip #2 – The simplicity and beauty of Accent Light! Don’t forget to light display areas and under cabinets with small halogen puck lights or fluorescent fixtures to brighten areas usually cast in shadow. Use timers to have them come on for mornings and evenings – set it and forget it!
We add light underneath the benches and inside the front counter of our stores in order to create a good source of ambient light throughout the store.
We found this article and photo from Elle Décor and love how this design tip is brought to life in this home office. Notice the puck lights attached to the shelf. It’s creates a shadow and glow that’s almost like a work of art.
How cool is that? Let us know if this is something you do by adding a comment to our blog (see add comments below).
